Pinery "Yurt Camp" 2003
December 5-7, 2003 - Pinery Provincial Park

Yurt Camp Report
Report by: Wolverine APL Mark H.

On the 5th of December the East Burlington Scout troop left for Pinery Provincial Park to camp. We slept in Yurts. Yurts are big tents with insulation the walls, a heater, bunk beds and electricity.

On Friday we left from Frontenac Public School and drove the Pinery. When we got there we had Mug-Up and went to bed. On Saturday we woke up and had breakfast. After breakfast we went on the Lookout Trail. Then we went back to the site to have lunch. After lunch we went to the Visitor Centre and watched a movie about fish. Then we browsed the Visitor Centre. After that we on the Cedar Trail where we picked up trash and were guided through the trail. After that we went to the beach to pick up trash. After that we finished the trail. After that we had dinner. On Sunday we packed up and left.

Overall it was a great camp and we should do things like this more often.
