Court Of Honour Retreat 2003
September 19 - 21, 2003 - Camp Manitou

On the weekend of September 19-21, 2003, at Camp Manitou, the Burlington Area conducted a three day Patrol Leader / Assistant Patrol Leader camp. The camp was designed as a junior leadership training course for youth in the Area Scout Troops, and the trainers included own Scouters Bill, Jim, and Graham.  Our Troop Leader, John G. also got into the training action, presenting the section on Safe Haven! The weekend consisted of a series of interesting workshops, games, and activities designed to give the Court of Honour the tools they need to excel at their new "jobs". Topics covered included: Leadership Skills, Communicating, Planning, The Court of Honour, and setting the example. Activities also included 2 fun movie nights, and one of the best Scouts Campfires we've seen in a while.  In addition to the East Burlington Court of Honour, 1st Port Nelson and 1st Glen Abbey also took part in the Retreat.
