Again this year, the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show offered a fantastic deal for Scouting members attending their March Break displays and demos for all sorts of camping, hiking, climbing, fishing, and other outdoor activities. At the end of March Break, a collection of Leaders and Scouts members hopped once again on the GO Train for a trip to the show, and our annual ride up the CN Tower!
It was an anniversary of sorts for us as we held our 5th annual 18 Wheeler Race on March 20th, and once again the Scouts built an impressive fleet of 14 ScoutTrucks! Scouter Andy, our Group Scouter, stopped by with a few of the trucks he helped build including the infamous "Skittles"-mobile. Scouts who didn't get a chance to build a truck this year, got to try their hand at racing with one of his trucks.
This years "convoy" included the Circus Truck, a military tanker, a "Pepsi-mobile", a lumber truck and a horse trailer among others.
Congrats to our top three troop finishers, Jordan, Jeff, and Lawrence!
