Several years ago 15th Burlington began to race and build 18 wheeler models, and it has become a Troop tradition for the East Burlington Scouts. While ScoutTruck racing has not caught with Scout Troops on to the extent that Kub Kars has with Cubs, many Troops have taken up this fun event. The latest group we were in contact with regarding the Trucks was 110th Toronto. Through an exchange of e-mails, and visits to each other's websites, Scouter Bill from 15th and Scouter Larry from 110th thought a fun, inter-Troop rally day was in order.
On Saturday December 7, representatives of East Burlington travelled to the Northlea United Church in Toronto at the invitation of 110th Toronto. There we enjoyed a fun morning of 18 Wheeler racing, and Scouting fellowship. Congrats to the gang from 110th for some really outstanding truck designs, and kudos to Jordan for his "honourable" mention finish.
The East Burlington Scouts would like to thank 110th for their hospitality and friendship, and hope that they'll join us in Burlington for a rematch!
