The Winter of 1999 will be known for some of the heaviest snowfalls on record. The massive January snow storm took place just days before the annual All-Section Winter Camp, leading to the most snow we've ever seen at Manitou, and some awesome toboggan runs....
The winter fun continued in February with the District Winter Camp at Blue Springs Scout Reserve. Our contingent traveled to camp with our trusty combination dogsled / stove bench (dubbed M*A*F*U by Matt and Will) at the ready!
Finally, just as things were supposed to be settling down, a snow storm hit the very weekend of the Scorpion's March Patrol Camp. What was meant as a spring pioneering camp turned into a car extraction exercise with Scouter Bill's car, and a chance to learn Euchre from the pros......
