After a year off, the Troop returned to the District's annual Competition Camp with 2 full patrols, the Tigers and the Predators. This year’s camp was not one that was highly focused on sports. Instead, the Venturers running the camp focused more on cooking and group organization. The Scouts camped in a separate area from the leaders. All cooking and activities were done as a patrol and evaluated, and each patrol had to cook for a group of leaders Saturday night. The dinner activity was preceded by the District Scout and Guide leaders heading off to their assignments to the music of the "Imperial March" from Star Wars! It was a fun weekend, despite an almost constant rain that finally broke at dinnertime Saturday.
While neither patrol won the competition (that honour went to a Pathfinder Unit), both patrols did very well. The Predator patrol finished in an impressive 3rd place, the highest ever finish for the 6th, 10th, and 15th Burlington Troops.
