This year, members from 10th and 15th Burlington once again attended the District's Annual Haliburton Composite Summer Camp. Each year Burlington District offers Scouts the opportunity to participate in a one week camp at the 5,000 acre Haliburton Scout Reserve. The reserve is located northeast of the town of Haliburton on Lake Kennabi. This year’s camp was held from July 28 to August 4th. Scouts Cory, Nick L., and Bryan as well as Scouter Bill and new 10th Burlington Troop Scouter Phil attended from our group.
Activities included a hiking out trip up Pike's Peak (the highest point in the reserve) as well as canoeing, a water regatta, fishing derby, rifle and archery range activities, repelling and opportunities to develop new Scouting skills.
