World Conservation Camp

On April 20 and 21, 2001 we took part in a one night, one-day camp covering major components of the World Conservation Badge.  It took place at Dufferin Aggregates' Milton Quarry.  Dufferin is currently undertaking a rehabilitation of their quarry back to a nature area.

On Saturday we participated  in planting over 4000 trees with approx. 200 other Scouts and members of the general public. Saturday afternoon involved a hike along the Bruce Trail, and a closer view of the rehabilitated quarry area.
