A Scout's Trip Report:
On August 18-20 the 15 Burlington were invited to the United States of America for their Second Annual Trophy Camporee. We left at 8pm and got there about 11:00pm and the Americans helped us put up our tents. Then we went to bed. On Saturday we had breakfast of pancake and bacon then we had opening ceremonies. Then we got changed and started the events like b.b. guns, paper rocket, archery, and hatchet throwing, etc. Then we had lunch of hotdog and chips. After lunch we did more events. Then we had dinner of tin foil dinners like hamburger patties, potatoes, and carrots. After dinner we had Scout's Own then we had a camp fire where we witnessed a flag retirement ceremony. Then we got back to our campsite where we had mugup and we went to bed. On Sunday we had breakfast of french toast and sausage rounds. Then we went to closing ceremonies, packed up, and started out way home. But on the way our Troop was getting hungry so we all decided to eat at America's best restaurant Denny's for lunch. Then we got on the way home. And we had a great weekend!
