Museum Tour / Kids Helping Kids
November 25th, 1999 saw us travel to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum located at the Hamilton Airport. Their guides took us on a tour of history from the exhibit gallery to the exciting display area. Aircraft from the Second World War through to the Jet Age were on display to view. With over 30 Warbirds kept in flying condition and interactive displays to see and touch, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is, truly, a Living History Museum.
In early December we once again look part in Lansing Buildall's Kids Helping Kids program as a service activity. Just before Christmas each year the local Lansing branch partners with Benjamin Moore Paints to stage this event. Neighbourhood children between ages 8 and 12 are invited to the store to paint wooden toys, which are donated to area groups for distribution to the community’s sick or needy children at Christmas.
