Winter / Spring 1997

In January 1997 we went up to Camp Manitou for the annual All-section Winter Camp.  There we worked on the Winter Cubbing badge, went tobogganing, joined the Beavers in making bird houses, and enjoyed William's French Toast.  On Saturday night the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers all met in Mac lodge for the Winter Camp banquet.  On Sunday morning we invested our newest member Nick S. in an outdoor ceremony.

How do you beat the February blahs?  For the 15th Cubs it was with a Beach Party Night complete with swimwear, beach tunes, and an indoor beach campfire.

April saw us joining the Scouts at the North American Native Village.  There we slept in teepees, and learned about Native Canadian culture as part of our Aboriginal Awareness badge.
