2000 Crest, designed by 15th Burlington's Justin!Awenda 2000

No Cubbing year would be complete without our annual end of year summer camp. Past trips to Rock Point, Algonquin, and Christie Lake have given us the chance to end the year with a fun experience for everyone. This year was no exception with our extended trip to Awenda Provincial Park, near Penetanguishene from the evening of June 8th (Thursday) to Sunday June 11th.  Once again, we were joined by Cubs from 6th Burlington's Pack.

Awenda features a fantastic collection of hiking trails, beaches on Georgian Bay, fishing, and a great campsite. If the park itself isnít enough, it is also located near the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre which we also visited. The display centre at the Marsh features five aquarium/terrarium tanks in the display hall that house live tree frogs, snakes, fish, and salamanders.  At the camp we worked on our Naturalist Badge, and made plaster face masks!
