Beaver Scout Winter Camp Checklist For Packing


The climate is very unpredictable.  The weather can range from mild to very cold on any given weekend.  Please check weather forecasts for the weekend that we are going away, and pack accordingly.  Although we stay at Winter Camp only one night, we recommend two sets of clothes as Beavers have been known to play in the snow and get wet.

Clothing
  • Sweat Shirt or Sweater
  • 2 Long Sleeve Shirts
  • 2 pr long underwear
  • 2 pr Long Pants
  • Snow or Splash Pants if available
  • 4 pr Socks (Warm)
  • Pyjamas or Sweat Suit for Bedtime
  • T-Shirt or Short Sleeve Shirt
  • Warm Coat
  • Small Supply of Kleenex
  • Winter Boots
  • Shoes for Inside Lodge
  • Warm Hat, Scarf, and Mittens

Camp Gear

Personal Gear

  • Soap, Towel, and Facecloth
  • Toothbrush, and paste
  • Comb or Brush

Sleeping Gear

  • Sleeping Bag
  • One or Two Blankets
  • Pillow
  • Mattress if desired

Other

  • Sled or Toboggan
  • Flashlight
  • Books or Games (non-electronic) if desired

Please encourage your youth to help pack their own gear, that way they know what they are bringing and where to find it!  As well, please mark your child's belongings with your child's name.
